Desert Embroidery works to bring gainful employment to Bedouin women in Lakia and its surroundings by preserving the folk art women learned from their mothers and grandmothers. Every purchase of their hand embroidery contributes to the personal empowerment of Bedouin women. Throughout the years their project has become a model in the Negev for handicraft employment.
These greeting cards are a cooperative endeavour between Desert Embroidery and a kibbutz Kfar Masaryk. The Bedouin ladies deliver the embroidery to the kibbutz, and the cards are made there using recycled paper. each card is unique - there is no other in the world the same.
