About 20 years ago the Bedouin women of the town of Lykiya in the Negev Desert got together and decided to do something about their economic and social status in their community - thus the Sidreh organisation was born.

Today the ladies of Sidreh conduct community development projects, and have revived the ancient art of weaving, Bedouin style.
