Craftsmen have been carving olive wood in the Bethlehem area since antiquity. Both religious artefacts and practical items continue to be made, often by the same families over many centuries. We are proud to bring you a diverse selection of some of the finest products available.
While much of the work is now crafted with machine tools, the final sanding and finish work is completed by hand. As a result, each piece is unique, even containing minor flaws since olive trees produce a knurly wood, dense and rock hard when cured.
These fine items are practical and beautiful last indefinitely with proper care, and can be handed down through the generations to your children and grandchildren.
